The 2022 CUPE Manitoba Solidarity Conference will take place on December 13th, 2022, in Brandon – Treaty 2.
At the 57th Annual CUPE Manitoba Convention held in 2021, delegates passed a resolution to hold a Solidarity Conference in the Fall of 2022 to bring together local leaders to build unity within our Union.
Local leaders will benefit from learning about our collective history, as well as our present. The Solidarity Conference will include sessions on:
- The history of CUPE and the broader labour movement in Manitoba,
- The key challenges CUPE members face in their work sectors,
- Collective bargaining trends, legislation, and sector coordination,
- Engaging members and building stronger local Unions, and
- Political action and our Union.
Following the 58th Annual CUPE Manitoba Convention, the 2022 Solidarity Conference 1st Call was sent to all affiliated Local Presidents and Recording Secretaries.

Small Local Assistance:
As per Article 7 of the CUPE Manitoba Bylaws & Policies, CUPE Manitoba will provide Local Assistance for up to 3 affiliated Locals of 50 members or less.
Requests for assistance shall be submitted to the Secretary-Treasurer prior to the beginning of the Conference. To learn more about Small Local Assistance, please review the CUPE_MB_Bylaws_and_Policies 2022.

Building a Safer, Stronger Manitoba Conference:
To ensure a safer and more inclusive conference, please reference Article 15 – Code of Conduct (2022 Bylaws & Policies).
The CUPE Manitoba Safer Spaces Committee & CUPE Manitoba encourages all delegates and participants to please familiarize themselves with both the Code of Conduct and the CUPE Equality Statement.
All delegates and participants will be provided a Safer Spaces Pledge at registration. A CUPE selfie station will be available to share your pledge and commitment to creating a safer conference.
