Today, the CUPE Manitoba Young Workers’ Committee together with CUPE Local 2153 continued its annual tradition of giving, by donating hundreds of toys for kids and teens in the care of Child and Family Services.
“We’re part of this community and we hope these toys and gifts will make this holiday a bit brighter for the hundreds of Manitoba kids and teens who may not otherwise receive a present this year,” said Gord Delbridge, President of CUPE Manitoba.
But long before delivery day, there’s a lot of work and outreach to Manitoba locals that goes into coordinating the toy drive. CUPE Manitoba is pleased to work with Winnipeg CFS on this initiative and thanks the agency staff for allocating, wrapping and distributing the toys.
Added Delbridge: “I want to thank the locals who generously donated this holiday season and extend my sincere gratitude to everyone involved in making the 2018 toy drive a huge success!”
