The CUPE MB Health and Safety Committee holds practical education sessions for members on workplace health and safety issues. For example, it provides training on how to make workplace health and safety committees function. Members monitor changes to provincial legislation and work with the CUPE Manitoba Executive to lobby the Government for improvements in health and safety laws.
CUPE’s seven Sector Councils meet to coordinate campaigns and activities and to share resources and build solidarity between Locals in shared sectors.
We advocate for workers’ rights, strong public services, and social justice across the province. From better wages and safe workplaces to defending public health care and education, our campaigns reflect the priorities of our members and the communities we serve. Together, we’re making real change—fighting for fairness, equity, and a Manitoba that works for everyone.
