CUPE MB Convention 2026
The Official 1st Call for CUPE Manitoba’s 62nd Annual Convention is live!
Convention will take place April 21st – 24th, 2026 in Winnipeg – Treaty 1, Manitoba, at the Radisson Hotel located in the heart of Winnipeg’s downtown.
The Radisson Hotel is located at:
288 Portage Ave.
Winnipeg – Treaty 1, Manitoba
R3C 0B8
Parking will be included in the hotel accommodation costs, and available onsite for a daily fee for all others.
The venue is wheelchair accessible: Elevators to all floors, ramps into Terrace Room venue, lift in main Convention Hall.

Jack Rodie Award
The official call for nominations is open for the 2026 Jack Rodie Award. All Affiliated Locals can submit nominations by filling in the Nomination Form in full, and submitting to the CUPE Manitoba office by March 23rd @ 4 PM.
Completed Nomination Forms can be Emailed to: officeadmin@cupe.mb.ca with the subject line: Jack Rodie Nomination.
The selection for this year’s recipient will be made by the CUPE Manitoba selection committee and will be announced on the floor of the 2026 CUPE Manitoba Convention.
Only the nominating Local of the selected recipient will be notified of the selection prior to Convention. Should the recipient not be attending Convention, arrangements will be made directly with the Local for the presentation of the award at a suitable time.

Award Criteria for the Jack Rodie Award:
The Jack Rodie Award was created to be presented to a CUPE member who has displayed a long-standing commitment to the Union movement.

Criteria:
-The nominee must be a CUPE member from a Local Affiliated to CUPE Manitoba;
-The nomination must come from an Affiliated Local or member of an Affiliated Local of CUPE Manitoba; and
-Nominees should be members who have displayed a long-term commitment to Union activism, and who fosters a positive image amongst the membership in both the Local and community.

Charitable Works Committee Launches the Silent Auction Request!

This year, the Charitable Works Committee is asking Locals to consider a donation of Local swag to be added to prize baskets, a prize basket from the Local or a monetary donation so that prizes can be purchased for the silent auction!
