Celebrating Healthcare Support Workers’ Recognition Week
Celebrating Healthcare Support Workers’ Recognition Week

October 20–24, 2025
CUPE Manitoba is proud to recognize Healthcare Support Workers’ Recognition Week, taking place October 20–24, 2025.
This week is dedicated to acknowledging the incredible contributions of healthcare support workers across Manitoba — the people who keep our healthcare system running with dedication, compassion, and care. Whether in hospitals, long-term care facilities, community health centres, or other health settings, your work is essential to the well-being of Manitobans.
Recognizing Your Dedication
Healthcare support workers are the backbone of our healthcare system. Your efforts ensure that patients, residents, and families receive the quality care they deserve. CUPE Manitoba proudly celebrates your commitment to making Manitoba’s healthcare system stronger, safer, and more inclusive.
While we take the time to celebrate Health Care Support Workers this week, we are continuing to advocate to ensure the provincial government prioritizes safety, respect and fairness in the workplace. These efforts will contribute to a more inclusive, safer, and stronger health care system for everyone – workers and those accessing services
Light the Night
Join us in celebrating this week by visiting The Forks on October 24th, where the Winnipeg sign and Esplanade Riel Bridge will be glowing CUPE pink in recognition of all healthcare support workers.
Take a photo, share it on social media, and tag @cupemanitoba to help spread the appreciation!
