Contact your Local President for information on the voting delegation process. All members from affiliated CUPE Locals welcome! All meetings are online & can be joined from anywhere.

Stronger Together: CUPE Manitoba Presents 2024 United Way Donation

December 20th marks the conclusion of CUPE Manitoba’s “Stronger Together” workplace campaign for the United Way. This year, CUPE Manitoba was proud to present the United Way of Winnipeg with a $10,000 cheque, in addition to separate contributions to the United Way in Brandon and in the Pembina Valley (Morden/Winkler).

United Way of Winnipeg Labour Director Madelaine Dwyer received the $10,000 donation in person at the Union Centre today (with her son, Mason).

Please contact your Local President to become a Delegate or Alternate. Even members without Delegate or Alternate status from their Local are welcome and encouraged to attend. However, you must be a Delegate or Alternate to stand for election or to have a vote.

CUPE Celebrates Health Care Support Workers’ Week and a New Collective Agreement

This week, CUPE is celebrating the 19,000 CUPE members who work as health care support workers across Manitoba in Locals 204, 8600, 4270, and 500. The Manitoba Government has proclaimed October 21 – 25 as Health Care Support Workers’ Week.

“Health care support workers are part of the foundation of our health care system and a critical part of the health care team,” says Gina McKay, President of CUPE Manitoba.
