CUPE Manitoba Skilled Trades Working Group
CUPE Manitoba Skilled Trades Working Group
Following the adoption of a Resolution adopted at the 2025 CUPE Manitoba Convention, L17 – Skilled Trades Working Group called for CUPE Manitoba to establish a Skilled Trades working group in Manitoba.
CUPE Manitoba is proud to announce the first meeting of the new Skilled Trades Working Group to help facilitate workers in the skilled trades and allied fields to address pressing issues in their fields and to strategize on improving working conditions in Manitoba.
The rationale? Because Skilled Trades workers are an important part of keeping public services functioning, their employers have often shown a lack of respect for their jobs, and at a recent CUPE Skilled Trades Summit in New Brunswick called for tradespeople to step up and get further involved.
Each Affiliated Local will have an opportunity to assign delegates to the Working Group. Please contact your Local President for information as each Local will have their own process for assigning delegates.
Please email CUPE Manitoba at officeadmin@cupe.mb.ca or call 204-560-2138 for additional information.

Date: June 10, 2026 5:00 pm
Location: In Person - Online Hybrid meetings will be hosted in each CUPE Regional Office: Dauphin, Brandon and Winnipeg. Members from affiliated Locals shall be appointed by their Local to register, and then a Zoom link and/or location will be provided to delegates. If assigned delegates would like to attend out of the Regional Office, the Hybrid Online meeting will be available.
