CUPE Manitoba Stands With Dynacare Workers Represented by MAHCP.

CUPE Manitoba stands with Dynacare workers represented by MAHCP.

Dynacare, a multimillion-dollar for-profit company is refusing to pay front-line workers a fair wage. This is unacceptable. 

Dynacare’s inability to prioritize the livelihoods of their own staff in Manitoba once again shows the failings of private companies contracted to do what should be public work.

This was evident during the COVID-19 pandemic in privately-operated care homes, as well as today with Dynacare.

Public health care services should be publicly owned, operated, and delivered, with strong unionized jobs and full labour rights.

The Dynacare model for health services in Manitoba is a failed model, allowing public tax dollars to pad the pockets of American CEOs rather than being re-invested into public health.

CUPE Manitoba calls on the provincial government to review its contract with Dynacare with the aim to move these important health services fully into the public health care model.In the interim, CUPE Manitoba calls on all parties involved to pay workers fairly, competitively, and to respect all workers rights to freely negotiate a fair collective agreement.
