CUPE Manitoba to Launch Children’s Activity Book in Brandon, Treaty 2

BRANDON, TREATY 2 – CUPE Manitoba invites media and the community to participate in the Brandon area launch of CUPE Manitoba’s “We Work for Manitoba!” children’s activity book on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the CUPE Brandon Area Office located at 1911 Park Avenue.CUPE members will also be handing out the new activity book during this year’s Santa Claus Parade as part of CUPE Manitoba’s Dasher sponsorship and Holiday Bus parade entry.

Mandatory minimum staffing ratios in health care could be a game changer – CUPEWINNIPEG, TREATY 1 – Manitoba’s largest labour union says the NDP government’s blueprint for the year ahead is on the right track and offers important improvements for workers and seniors, including legislating minimum patient-to-staff ratios. CUPE urges the province to invest in public services adjacent to Northern development and continue building a strong public sector that provides valuable services and good jobs for Manitobans.

Manitoba Filipino Street Festival 2025

CUPE Manitoba will be participating in the Filipino Street Festival again this year, as a GOLD Sponsor!

With more than 17,000 Manitobans forced to evacuate their homes and communities due to unprecedented wildfires, CUPE Manitoba is appealing to CUPE Locals to contribute to the First Nations and Métis relief efforts, and the Red Cross Manitoba Wildfires Relief Fund.

The week of the ECE is an important week to recognize and thank all Early Childhood Educators in Manitoba who work tirelessly to support our communities' children, youth and families.

To mark this important week, CUPE Manitoba shares a reminder to all CUPE Locals in Manitoba to extend a thank you to all Early Childhood Educators, Providers, and Child Care staff who are on the frontlines serving our communities and that Child Care is essential, and not just in times of crisis.

Earth Day Conversations for CUPE Locals in Manitoba

For April 22, Earth Day, President McKay spoke with CUPE Local 500 member, Cameron Patrick, who is Manitoba’s representative on CUPE National’s Environment Committee.

Brother Cameron shared that “CUPE has made a commitment to fight for the environment, for the good of the planet, individuals, and communities. There are many things we can do as individuals and union members to help out in this fight, including recycling and composting in the workplace.
